UEFA brought together some of the biggest decision-makers in women’s football for the fourth edition of its Business Case for Women’s Football event in Lisbon, highlighting in a post made on their official x handle how strategic planning is accelerating the sport’s growth across Europe.

This morning, the most influential voices in women’s football come together to discuss the game’s future at the Business Case for Women’s Football.

This came shortly after UEFA promoted a special grassroots initiative linked to the 2026 UEFA Women’s Champions League final in Oslo, where young girls from the Rosa Sko Foundation were invited to attend the final between FC Barcelona Femení and Olympique Lyonnais Féminin at Ullevaal Stadion.

The event also followed emotional moments in women’s football after Chelsea Women F.C. shared reactions from manager Sonia Bompastor and defender Niamh Charles following victory over Manchester United Women F.C. in a match that marked farewell appearances for club legends Sam Kerr and Millie Bright.

UEFA highlighted that clubs across Europe’s top women’s leagues have recorded 187% revenue growth across the last four seasons, reinforcing the belief that structure, visibility, league planning and player leadership will continue shaping the future of the women’s game.
