Ghana Football Association has announced a landmark sponsorship agreement with Gold Fields Ghana Limited worth $5 million over two years, in a move set to significantly boost football development across the country.

Softfootball understands that The timing of the sponsorship is crucial, as Ghana intensifies preparations for the FIFA World Cup 2026. Earlier developments saw officials from Bryant University visit as part of arrangements for Ghana’s tournament base camp.

The partnership, confirmed via the Ghana Football Association official X handle, will support key national teams including the Ghana national football team, Ghana women’s national football team, the Women’s Premier League, and the Ghana national amputee football team.

Gold Fields Ghana Limited has partnered with the Ghana Football Association in a US$5 million deal to support national teams and strengthen football development across all levels. 🤝⚽️

The sponsorship package will support the Black Stars, Black Queens, Women’s Premier League, and the Black Challenge, Ghana’s national amputee football team.

The deal was officially unveiled in Accra, with GFA President Kurt Okraku describing it as a strong statement of commitment to inclusion, growth, and long-term football development.

Gold Fields Ghana’s Managing Director Elliot Twum also reaffirmed the company’s dedication to supporting sports and empowering communities through sustained investment.
