Alvaro Arbeloa has expressed full confidence in Real Madrid’s ability to secure a comeback against Bayern Munich ahead of their UEFA Champions League quarter-final second leg, Softfootball reports.

Speaking during a pre-match press conference as shared by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano through his official X channel, Arbeloa described the upcoming clash at the Allianz Arena as a “battle,” insisting his side will give “200% of our energies” in pursuit of a turnaround.

Romano posted:

Álvaro Arbeloa: Wednesday will be our night against Bayern. We will give 200% of our energies.

Despite recent domestic struggles, including a 1–1 draw with Girona and trailing Barcelona by seven points in La Liga, Arbeloa remains confident in Madrid’s European pedigree.

In other reports by Romano, Arbeloa emphasized his belief within the squad is his primary focus, highlighting the club’s history of producing dramatic comebacks on the biggest stage.

Álvaro Arbeloa: My players feel they CAN make the remontada happen next week. That’s the only thing I care about.

The manager’s optimism comes amid concerns over squad form and fitness, particularly surrounding Kylian Mbappe following a recent VAR controversy.

However, Arbeloa dismissed doubts, backing both Mbappé and Vinicius Junior as among the world’s top players and key to Madrid’s chances.

Álvaro Arbeloa on Mbappé penalty: VAR enters when they want, and when they don’t want to, they look the other way.

With pressure mounting and the season at a critical juncture, the second leg presents a defining opportunity for Real Madrid to salvage their campaign and continue their pursuit of European success.
