Former Goztepe head coach Yilmaz Vural has described Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen as a truly magnificent footballer. The Nigerian international joined Galatasaray this summer from Napoli and has made a very positive start to his career at the Turkish club.
However, speaking on a local television program, Vural argued that the club paid far too much money to secure his signature. Softfootball gathered that he praised the forward’s technical abilities, noting that he can beat players with his dribble and has incredible control over aerial balls.

Vural emphasized that Osimhen is a real centre forward whose physical characteristics are excellent. Despite this high praise, the experienced manager insisted that seventy five million euros is simply too much money to spend on one player.
He suggested that major teams like Galatasaray should instead look to acquire talented names from the lower leagues, specifically mentioning local players who can deliver similar results for a fraction of the cost.
However, he acknowledged the undeniable quality the Nigerian brings to the pitch every single week. It is a very complex situation for the club regarding finances.
