Yunus Musah may be set for a Premier League return, with both Nottingham Forest and Wolverhampton Wanderers lining up bids for the AC Milan midfielder. The 22-year-old American international, known for his versatility, is attracting serious attention following Milan’s failure to qualify for European competition next season.

Musah, a former Arsenal academy product, has made 80 appearances over two seasons at the San Siro. Despite his underwhelming attacking output—two assists and no goals in 40 outings last season—his tactical flexibility remains a strong asset. Musah can operate as a central midfielder, wide man, or even as a wing-back, making him a useful tool in different formations.

Forest’s qualification for the Conference League puts them in a slightly more appealing position when compared to Wolves, yet both clubs are eager to strengthen. With expectations high for the 2025–26 campaign, the Midlands rivals see Musah as a smart addition—particularly with the €20–25 million price tag Milan are reportedly asking for.

In Wolves’ current 3-4-2-1 system under Vitor Pereira, Musah could easily fit into either of the advanced midfield slots or drop deeper to provide extra coverage. Forest, meanwhile, could use him to rotate throughout their midfield and flanks, especially if they embark on a long European run.

While Musah’s goal record—five in 188 career matches—raises questions about his final-third impact, his experience, age, and adaptability offer clear upside. Milan appear willing to let him go for the right price, and with both Forest and Wolves in the mix, the next step in Musah’s career could be a return to English football.
