Former Arsenal defender William Gallas has strongly advised his old club to sign Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen in the upcoming transfer window.
The Frenchman believes the Nigerian international would be a much better fit for the Gunners than current number nine Kai Havertz. The German forward joined Arsenal from Chelsea last summer and has scored twenty one goals in sixty eight appearances so far.
Softfootball gathered that Gallas feels the tall striker is simply not the right man to lead Mikel Arteta’s attack in their quest for major trophies.
Speaking to Genting Casino, Gallas was very blunt about the current situation, stating that Kai Havertz has never been the right man to take Arsenal to the Premier League title because he is a good player but not world class.
He insisted that Arsenal desperately need a proven striker like Osimhen to wake up their title challenge.
Gallas also expressed his confusion over why Osimhen is currently playing in Turkey, arguing that he should be in the Premier League where Arsenal could truly benefit from his immense talent and goalscoring ability for the team.
