West Bromwich Albion and Watford are reportedly interested in signing Sevilla forward Kelechi Iheanacho when the January transfer window opens.
softfootball noted that The Nigerian striker joined Sevilla this summer after spending seven successful years at Leicester City, where he became a key figure and gained valuable Premier League experience.
However, Iheanacho has struggled to make a significant impact in Spain so far. The 28-year-old has made seven LaLiga appearances for Sevilla, with most of his outings coming from the bench, and is yet to find the back of the net in the league. He has, however, scored twice in the Copa del Rey.
According to reports from El Sevillista, both West Brom and Watford are monitoring the situation and could make a move to bring the former Manchester City forward back to England in January.
With both Championship clubs aiming for promotion to the Premier League, Iheanacho’s experience, finishing ability, and top-flight pedigree could make him an attractive addition to their squads.
A loan deal is expected to be the most likely option, as the two clubs look to strengthen their attacking options for the second half of the season.
