Softfootball understands that Tottenham Hotspur’s coach Igor Tudor was absent from the post-match press conference following their heavy 0–3 defeat to Nottingham Forest. Assistant coach Bruno Saltor has explained that the manager was dealing with a personal family issue.

The update, shared by Fabrizio Romano on his official X handle, comes at a difficult time for Spurs, who are enduring a poor run of form under Tudor. Since his appointment in February 2026, following the dismissal of Thomas Frank, the team has suffered four consecutive defeats, conceding 14 goals in the process.

Romano reported:

Tottenham assistsnt coach Bruno Saltor: “Igor Tudor doesn’t speak today as he’s dealing a personal family issue, obviously it’s a difficult moment for him”.

The string of losses has intensified concerns around Tottenham’s position in the Premier League table, with fears growing that the club could be dragged into a relegation battle despite sitting in mid-table.

Meanwhile, Igor Tudor has earlier refused to discuss whether he is the right man to lead Tottenham Hotspur during their difficult period, as pressure continues to build on the club’s interim head coach.

Saltor’s comments offered a rare glimpse into the personal challenges faced by managers behind the scenes, as scrutiny from fans and media continues to mount. Despite the pressure, Tottenham’s ownership group, led by ENIC Group, are reportedly leaving key decisions regarding Tudor’s future to club executives.

Fan reactions remain divided, with some calling for patience while others demand immediate changes to halt the club’s downward spiral.
