Brighton & Hove Albion Women have signed Chiamaka Nnadozie from Paris FC, as head coach Dario Vidosic believes the Nigerian shot-stopper will add the much-needed composure and authority between the sticks.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Chiamaka to the club,” said Vidosic. “She’s a talented and commanding goalkeeper who will bring consistency and confidence to our defensive line.”
Nnadozie moves from Paris to the Premier League
The Super Falcons No. 1 joins Brighton from Paris FC, where she spent five impressive years. Her move becomes official on July 1st, once her contract expires, but she’ll link up with the squad later, after Nigeria’s Women’s Africa Cup of Nations campaign in Morocco.
Nnadozie, 24, brings Champions League pedigree, title-winning experience, and a commanding presence in goal.
Nnadozie made 118 appearances for Paris FC, and her brilliance hasn’t gone unnoticed. In 2024, she became the first African to win the UNFP Division 1 Féminine Goalkeeper of the Season, registering multiple clean sheets and bagging the D1 Arkema Best Goalkeeper award in the same year.
What Brighton gains
Nnadozie made 16 UEFA Women’s Champions League appearances for Paris FC and was a standout performer in the 2025 Coupe de France Féminine final, where she saved two penalties to defeat PSG and win the title.
“She has competed at the highest level,” Vidosic added. “That experience, especially in tough European matches, is invaluable as we push for a top-three finish.”
Brighton narrowly missed out on qualifying for the women’s Champions League football at the end of last season after finishing fifth, 16 points adrift of third-place Manchester United, conceding 41 goals along the way. Nnadozie’s arrival is seen as a move to tighten the backline.
