Manchester United midfielder Manuel Ugarte has expressed his pride at joining the Red Devils, insisting there is no football club quite like the Premier League giants.

Softfootball understands that the Uruguay international made the remarks while reflecting on his summer move from Paris Saint-Germain, describing his transfer to Old Trafford as a dream come true.

Ugarte admitted that he initially remained calm as negotiations progressed, but revealed his excitement grew with each passing day as he waited for the move to be completed.

The 23-year-old said he became increasingly eager to finalise the transfer and was delighted when he finally arrived at the club.

Despite the arrival of new head coach Ruben Amorim, Ugarte is not making any assumptions about his role in the team and remains focused on earning his place through hard work.

The midfielder believes representing Manchester United is a privilege, adding that the club’s history, global fanbase and stature make it unlike any other in world football.
