Former Nigeria international Taye Taiwo believes Victor Osimhen has rediscovered his best form and is ready to make a successful return to one of Europe’s top leagues.
The Super Eagles striker has enjoyed a prolific spell since joining Galatasaray on loan from Napoli, scoring nine goals in his opening 11 Turkish Super Lig matches, including a brace against Kayserispor.
Softfootball understands Taiwo believes Osimhen should seize the opportunity if any of the Premier League’s biggest clubs come calling. Speaking to Africa Foot, the former left-back said:
Victor is back to his best and is ready to return to the big leagues.
Taiwo believes the transfer market is now more favourable for the Nigerian striker than it was during the summer, especially with Napoli willing to sanction his departure.
Several teams are looking to strengthen their attack, and he should be at the top of their list. Right now, the market is more favourable than in the summer, and Napoli are willing to sell.
The former Marseille defender also named three Premier League clubs he believes would be ideal destinations for Osimhen. Taiwo added:
If Manchester United, Chelsea, or Arsenal approach him, he should seize the opportunity.
