Her move makes her one of the latest Super Falcons players to secure a transfer to a new club, continuing the growing presence of Nigerian internationals across top European leagues.

Omewa’s transfer comes amid increased attention on Super Falcons players, with her compatriot Asisat Oshoala also trending online following comments she made during the recently concluded AFCON 2025, where Senegal defeated Morocco 1–0 in a dramatic final.

Nottingham Forest will be hoping Omewa’s experience, goalscoring ability and European exposure will strengthen their squad as they prepare for the remainder of the season.
