Super Falcons And Nnadozie Win Big At 2024 CAF Awards

Nigeria’s Super Falcons have been named 2024 CAF Women’s National Team of the Year, adding to a strong showing for Nigerian football at the CAF Awards held in Marrakech, Morocco on Monday.

The nine-time African champions were confirmed as winners at the ceremony, further cementing their dominance in African women’s football.

Softfootball gathers that goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie also claimed the Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year award, marking her second time winning the honour following a previous success in 2023.

Nnadozie was also included in the final shortlist for the Women’s Player of the Year category, highlighting her continued excellence between the posts for both club and country.

Elsewhere at the ceremony, reigning AFCON champions Cote d’Ivoire were named Men’s National Team of the Year ahead of Nigeria’s Super Eagles, while South Africa’s Ronwen Williams claimed both the Men’s Goalkeeper of the Year and Interclub Player of the Year awards.
