The Liverpool manager praised the Colombian winger for his quality and popularity among the club’s supporters, noting that the Anfield faithful regularly sing his song during matches.
Slot also stressed that while Diaz’s goals grab the headlines, he is equally impressed by the winger’s work rate and commitment without the ball.
According to the Dutch tactician, Liverpool’s wide players are required to contribute defensively by tracking back and pressing opponents, making the role physically demanding throughout the season.
He explained that this workload is the reason behind the club’s rotation policy, particularly in attacking positions, where players are expected to maintain high intensity in both the Premier League and Champions League.
