Football Superstar, Cristiano Ronaldo has jokingly introduced a young Portugal mascot after helping his country to a 5-0 victory over Armenia in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, Softfootball reports.
The 40-year-old superstar registered his 140th international goal in that encounter, scoring in either half as the Selecao enjoyed a huge victory in their first match since the untimely passing of Diogo Jota.

After the encounter, Ronaldo took to his official X handle to acknowledge the young mascot as his new friend. He wrote:
I made a new friend yesterday. Grateful for the love and support every single day and I hope everyone gets to follow their dreams!
In the game, former Chelsea star, Joao Felix opened scoring in the 10th minute after connecting a pass from former Manchester City star Joao Cancelo to head home and eleven minutes later it was 2-0 as Ronaldo scored from a Pedro Neto cross.
Al-Hilal full-back Cancelo powered home the third goal from the centre of the penalty area to give Portugal a 3-0 lead in an outstanding start to the match. Before the start of the game Ronaldo had to console an emotional Portugal mascot, who was overwhelmed seeing his idol. It was a beautiful sight but Portugal showed great focus as the match started as they blew away their hosts in the first 45 minutes.
The second half was barely 45 seconds before Portugal got a fourth and it was Ronaldo again. The Al Nassr forward struck a sweet half-volley from 25 yards which flew past goalkeeper Henri Avagyan and high into the net. It was clearly the best goal of the night and he thanked Joao Neves for the perfect assist.
Ronaldo was substituted in the 57th minute so he did not have the chance to score his hat-trick but Portugal did not stop as Joao Felix got his second goal of the match with an audacious scorpion flick that flew into the net to make it 5-0.
Portugal return to action on Tuesday when they face Hungary while Armenia host Ireland on the same day.
