AS Roma have completed the permanent signing of defender Daniele Ghilardi from Hellas Verona in a deal worth €8 million plus €1 million in add-ons, Softfootball understands.
Fiorentina will receive 50% of the transfer fee as part of the agreement. Ghilardi initially joined Roma in the summer on an onerous loan deal that included a mandatory redemption clause.
Under the terms agreed by both clubs, the transfer became permanent after Roma secured their first point in February, triggering the obligation. The news was confirmed by transfer maestro Fabrizio Romano via his official X handle

Away from Serie A, attention has turned to a viral Manchester United fan story that could soon reach its conclusion. Frank Ilett, a 29-year-old United supporter and content creator known online as The United Strand, is on the verge of ending his famous “no win, no hair trim” challenge.
