Nottingham Forest delivered one of their most complete performances of the season as they swept aside Tottenham Hotspur 3–0 at the City Ground, leaving home supporters in dreamland and Spurs fans in open revolt, Softfootball reports.
Ibrahim Sangaré and Callum Hudson-Odoi were the architects of a dominant display, with Hudson-Odoi tormenting Spurs all afternoon, scoring twice and providing an assist while Sangaré added a goal and an assist of his own in a midfield performance that many Forest fans already fear they will soon miss.

The result was made even more damning by the context surrounding Tottenham’s recent form. Spurs had ended a winless run with victory over Brentford last week, a result that briefly steadied the ship and eased pressure on Thomas Frank.
But any optimism evaporated instantly at the City Ground, where Tottenham looked disjointed, passive, and completely overrun. Forest, meanwhile, played with intensity, confidence, and cohesion a display supporters described as “chalk and cheese” compared to recent outings.
Nottingham Forest Fans Hail Near-Perfect Performance

Forest supporters were united in praise, describing the performance as one of the best they’ve seen in years both in quality and collective effort.
@grantfellows summed it up succinctly:
Superb all over the pitch, chalk and cheese from the Everton game. Going to miss Sangare.
For many, beating Spurs made the result even sweeter. @Jasonkelly wrote:
What a performance! So many players to mention that played brilliantly & to get it against spurs who after the MGW situation showed what bell ends they are, the win is even sweeter 🌳🔴.
After the game, Nottingham forest shared via its official X handle, that Callum Hudson Odoi was named the man of the match after his fantastic performance. They posted:

The City Ground atmosphere was also a talking point. @hyper_ttb captured the mood:
Red dogs assemble on the banks of the Trent in 3.2.1…. mull of kintyre on the tannoy LOUD we are the mighty reds #NFFC.
Some fans focused on selection and balance. @smong_g commented:
Brilliant almost flawless performance. We really need to start this team with Sels (although John was ok. Not really tested but distribution was quite good). Ndoye and Morato have always been the weak link and so please leave them out.
Individual performances stood out across the pitch. @tomrichardson said:
Igor Jesus is some player! Every player very good today (Anderson not firing on all cylinders but he can be forgiven). Both wingers threats and workrate, Jesus held and linked everything. Great to watch….Ole.
Nottingham forest coach Sean Dyche spoke to the club tv shared via the teams official X handle, he reacted to the win saying he is proud of his team’s performance. Watch full video below:

@joshnffc highlighted what the win means in the table:
The performance, to a man, absolutely outstanding. Jesus class, CHO, every one of them. A good 10 days rest, 5 pts from bottom 3, 4 PTS off spurs 11th. YOU REDS 🔴.
Sangaré’s display drew admiration beyond Forest. @centrocampista wrote:
Ibi! So glad you finally get the chance to show what you’re capable of. Great player and a great man, still miss you at PSV. Hope to see you in Eindhoven again one day. Keep showing your talent in the PL 🍀.
For @henjohansen1, it bordered on perfection:
You never see the perfect performance in football, but today Forest came close. All the boys was outstanding and it’s a beautiful and massive win! We really gonna miss Sangere, he was playing so well. Love this win, YOU REDS! 💪🏻⚽️🔴⚪️❤️.
Others looked ahead with optimism. @GilRFiallo said:
Round week. May this be the start of greater regularity for the team, as an intense schedule is coming up, and I feel that the team can handle it, but it is necessary, I insist, to maintain that regularity. In the meantime, let’s enjoy the victory ✌🏾⚽🙂.

Tottenham Fans Furious as Anger Turns on Thomas Frank
If Forest fans were euphoric, Spurs supporters were incandescent. Any goodwill earned from last week’s win over Brentford vanished as fans labelled the performance embarrassing and directionless.
@markfoster did not hold back:
Embarrassing being a spurs fan today. The manager and team should give this weeks wages to charity.
Calls for drastic action followed quickly. @bobcolayco wrote:
Sack Frank with immediate effect. Clueless manager with zero ideas, ambition, or courage. Non inspirational it’s clear the players don’t believe in him. Don’t bring in mid table managers with mid table mindset because the only result is mid performance.
Tottenham via official X handle , shared the managers post game reaction to the loss, Thomas Frank noted the players lack of energy and confidence, and states that the team must improve on their weaknesses. They posted:

@bingusplays was scathing:
There is no spark in this team. You can blame that its his first season but he has had half a season to get his players and implement his tactics. Where are the tactics? All I see is a bunch of chickens running around that cant score consistently. Frank ball more like Fraud ball.
Some fans pointed to mentality and approach. @richardwilliams observed:
Surprised? NO! Anyone else notice a pattern between these defeats & gushing way Thomas Frank talk about opponents in the buildup to games? When Tommy fears the opponent…We play Cowardball & lose! If Frank can’t see why we’re constantly losing games in this fashion he never will.
Others felt things had somehow gotten worse. @jamesbarton said:
Frank is getting EVERYTHING wrong. Pre, during and post game. Literally every decision. Didn’t think we could find a worse manager than Ange but we’ve done it.
After the game, Tottenham defender Pedro porro spoke to the press as shared on the club’s official X handle, the defender apologized to the fans for their lack of zeal during the game, while also stating that the team must improve. They posted:

Individual players were not spared either. @johnstoneman ranted:
That was embarrassing!!!! That was a team that had been coached out of playing football…..If Richarlison is your forward your in trouble. 60 million for literally a non league player….more famous for his attitude than being a decent player…….so bad..so bad!!!.
A minority argued the issues ran deeper than the manager. @thefountainhead wrote:
I’m seeing a lot of ‘sack Thomas Frank’ comments. The person who needs to be sacked is the director of player recruitment/development. The Spurs simply don’t have enough good players.
But for others, the verdict was already final. @drakescoffee concluded:
Incredibly poor coaching. Incredibly poor player profiling. Incredibly poor set-ups. Incredibly poor substitutions. Incredibly poor pragmatism. Incredibly poor mentality. Great excuses though (not really). Never thought I’d say it — literally ANY manager would do a better job.
For Nottingham Forest, this felt like more than just three points. It was a statement of identity, belief, and what this squad can be when everything clicks. With Hudson-Odoi in electric form and Sangaré dominating midfield, the challenge now is consistency as Forest look to pull further clear of danger and build momentum.
For Tottenham, the questions are piling up fast. After briefly stopping the rot against Brentford, Spurs were nowhere to be found at the City Ground. With fan patience evaporating and performances trending backwards, pressure is rapidly mounting on Thomas Frank — and unless things change quickly, this defeat may be remembered as a turning point for all the wrong reasons.
