Real Betis return to La Liga action looking to build momentum after bouncing back from their Europa League exit with a narrow 3–2 win away at Girona. Their season has been steady rather than spectacular, but sitting fifth with a small cushion over chasing teams keeps them firmly in the European conversation.

Real Madrid, on the other hand, arrive with pressure still hanging over them. A recent hard fought win over Deportivo Alavés a match that turned tense late on showed their ability to grind results, but not without exposing familiar defensive nerves.

There was also a recentslip against Girona where dropped points frustrated fans and raised fresh concerns about consistency. Softfootball mentioned that while results are still coming, performances continue to divide opinion among supporters.

Real Betis receive a boost with Antony returning from suspension, adding more attacking depth. However, Junior Firpo remains sidelined with a muscle issue, while Diego Llorente and Angel Ortiz will be assessed before kickoff. Abde Ezzalzouli is expected to keep his place after an impressive showing last time out.

Real Madrid still have key absentees to deal with. Rodrygo is out long-term with a knee injury, while Thibaut Courtois is yet to recover from a thigh problem. Eder Militão will also miss out after his recent setback, leaving Antonio Rüdiger to lead the defence. There are positive signs elsewhere, though, with Vinícius Júnior and Kylian Mbappé continuing to spearhead the attack.

Possible Lineups

Real Betis: Valles; Bellerin, Bartra, Natan, Rodriguez; Amrabat, Roca; Antony, Fornals, Ezzalzouli; Hernandez

Real Madrid: Lunin; Alexander-Arnold, Rudiger, Huijsen, Carreras; Valverde, Bellingham, Tchouameni, Diaz; Vinicius, Mbappe
