Victor Osimhen admitted Galatasaray were left frustrated after surrendering a two-goal advantage in their dramatic 3-3 UEFA Europa League draw against Dynamo Kyiv, Softfootball gathered.
The Nigerian striker converted a penalty just before the hour mark to score his side’s second goal, taking his Europa League tally to four goals in five appearances this season.
Introducing his reaction after the match, Osimhen acknowledged the team’s shortcomings while insisting everyone must take responsibility for the disappointing result. Speaking via the club official media, he said:
We are disappointed. We thought we deserved more.
We need to take responsibility as a team because we all made mistakes.
The Super Eagles forward also stressed the need for better understanding among teammates in attacking situations.
We need to understand each other better at certain moments. We could have scored more goals today. We need to learn from our mistakes and be better.
Galatasaray have now recorded consecutive draws in Europe and will aim to bounce back in their upcoming fixtures.
