Somali referee Omar Artan, who was denied entry to the United States for this summer’s FIFA Club World Cup, is set to make history as the first African referee to take charge of the UEFA Super Cup when Aston Villa face Paris Saint‑Germain (PSG) on Wednesday 12th August 2026 at 8:00 PM.
Softfootball gathered that PSG will be facing Aston Villa, as PSG won the 2025/26 Champions League, claiming the trophy for the second time in a row after also winning the 2024/25 Champions League season.
