Napoli sporting director Giovanni Manna has stated that the club is eager to resolve Victor Osimhen’s future quickly to avoid a repeat of last summer’s transfer saga.

The Nigerian striker is currently on loan at Galatasaray after a proposed move to Chelsea collapsed in August.

Manna acknowledged that Osimhen remains a high-profile asset with significant market interest. He told Sky Sport Italia:

Victor is always going to be a hotly-debated topic and not just on the transfer market.

Softfootball reports that Napoli are keen to finalize his exit before the next window opens, aiming for clarity rather than prolonged speculation.

The sporting director emphasized the need for efficiency in negotiations. He added:

He is an appetising player for clubs, he has a clause and everyone knows this, we are working to find a solution as quickly as possible, so that we can avoid what happened last year.

Osimhen is expected to command a fee around €75 million, with Premier League clubs seen as the most likely destination.

By acting early, Napoli hope to secure a smooth transition and reinvest the funds into their squad without the distraction of ongoing uncertainty surrounding their former top scorer.
