Napoli sporting director Giovanni Manna has moved to shut down transfer speculation surrounding Victor Osimhen, insisting no club has made contact regarding a move for the striker.
Osimhen remains on loan at Turkish champions Galatasaray, but retains a €75m release clause that would allow him to leave in January if a club is willing to meet it.
Softfootball reports that both Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United have been strongly linked with activating that clause.
Speaking to DAZN, Manna was direct in dismissing the rumours currently swirling around the Nigerian international. He said:
I already said many times, nobody has talked to us. Victor is owned by Napoli and currently playing for Galatasaray.
I think too much has been said about this, there is nothing happening.
Manna also touched on Napoli’s broader transfer plans, hinting that further investment could follow if needed. He added:
We made a lot of investments over the summer, if it should be needed, we would be ready to make more. We are concentrated on our campaign.
The club’s stance suggests any January move for Osimhen remains far from imminent despite continued transfer talk.
