Osimhen explained that he also prays with his partner before matches, describing his family as his greatest source of strength and inspiration.

The 25-year-old also expressed his delight after Nigeria secured qualification for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations with one game to spare.

According to the Galatasaray forward, the qualification is a reward for the collective efforts of the players, coaching staff and the unwavering support of Nigerian fans throughout the campaign.

Looking ahead, Osimhen insisted the Super Eagles are determined to finish the qualifiers strongly by defeating Rwanda before shifting their full attention to the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign.

He admitted the AFCON qualifiers were challenging at the beginning but noted that the team has identified its weaknesses and continues to improve under the guidance of the coaching crew.

Osimhen also shed light on his remarkable aerial ability, saying he developed his heading technique by learning from senior players while growing up. He explained that he worked hard to improve both his footwork and heading, a combination that has made him one of Africa’s most dangerous forwards in the air.
