Kylian Mbappé has confirmed he is fully fit after recovering from a recent knee injury, providing a major boost for Real Madrid at a crucial stage of the season.

The French star had been sidelined for about a month due to a left knee problem earlier in 2026, which raised concerns about his fitness.

Softfootball gathered that there were reports suggesting a possible misdiagnosis, including claims that the club had scanned the wrong leg in December 2025. However, in comments shared by Fabrizio Romano on his official X account, Mbappé strongly dismissed those rumors, stating clearly that such information is “not true.”

Romano reported:

Kylian Mbappé: “The information that Real Madrid examined the wrong knee is NOT true”. “We’ve always had clear communication with Real Madrid”.

Initially, there were internal discussions about a potential surgery, but Real Madrid’s medical team decided on a conservative treatment approach. That decision has now paid off, with Mbappé confirming he is “100% recovered”.

In another comment shared by Romano minutes earlier, Mbappe thanked the club for their support during his rehabilitation, expressing how happy he is to be fit again.

Kylian Mbappé: “I’m happy to be able to feel good in both my knees”. “In a way, I also owe that to my club. Very happy to be here, fit and healthy”.

His return comes at a vital time as Madrid compete in La Liga and the UEFA Champions League, where he has already recorded 14 goal contributions despite missing matches.

Mbappé also dismissed any doubts about his readiness for upcoming international competitions, emphasizing his confidence and experience.
