Real Madrid once again demonstrated why they remain the standard in Spanish football. With Kylian Mbappé scoring twice, Jude Bellingham rediscovering his touch, and Álvaro Carreras adding late brilliance, Madrid swept past Valencia 4–0 to extend their lead at the top of La Liga, Softfootball reports.
This win adds to their momentum following their recent victory over Barcelona in the El Clásico, reinforcing their status at the top of Spanish football.
Los Blancos were in full control from the first whistle, dictating tempo and testing Valencia goalkeeper Julen Agirrezabala early on through Vinícius Jr and Jude Bellingham.

Their pressure told when Mbappe opened the scoring from the spot on 19 minutes after a handball by César Tárrega.
Twelve minutes later, Kylian Mbappe doubled the lead, volleying home Arda Güler’s pinpoint cross to notch his second of the evening, showcasing the form that earned him the Golden Boot for the 2024-25 La Liga season.

Bellingham added a third before half-time with a precise finish from the edge of the area, marking his first goal since returning from injury. Valencia struggled to contain Madrid’s movement and were pinned back for much of the game.

Madrid never looked threatened after the break, even when Vinícius Jr missed a second-half penalty that could have made it four.

The hosts remained in total control and capped off the win when Álvaro Carreras blasted a stunning strike into the top corner with eight minutes left on the clock.

For Valencia, the result was another reminder of the gap to the league’s elite. They managed only one shot on target all night and were second best throughout.
Madrid’s victory was comprehensive, with 21 shots, 65 percent possession, and an intensity Valencia couldn’t match. It was also symbolic: a team blending global stars and tactical cohesion, each win reinforcing their confidence ahead of a trip to Anfield in the Champions League.
Real Madrid shared the full-time result on their official X handle following the final whistle.
