Manchester United manager Rúben Amorim has delivered a fitness update as his side prepares for a crucial Premier League game against West Ham United on Thursday.
Softfootball understands that after their hard-earned 2-1 victory over Crystal Palace, United are hoping to build momentum, but the squad’s health remains an issue for the Manchester United side.

One of the biggest boosts came with the confirmed return of Matheus Cunha. Amorim confirmed that the Brazilian forward is now back, as reported by Fabrizio Romano via his official X account.
He said:
Rúben Amorim: We have two doubts for the game, it will change the way we’re going to approach it, let’s see if they can play. The rest of the squad is good. Matheus Cunha is back
considering United’s recent struggles with squad depth in attacking areas. His availability adds a bit more sharpness and competition among forwards like Mason Mount and Joshua Zirkzee, who have both been in good form lately.
Amorim also revealed that there are two new doubts heading into the match for players whose identities he decided not to share. hinting that their involvement could alter his entire game plan.

Harry Maguire and Benjamin Šeško remain unavailable. Maguire is still working his way back from a thigh issue he picked up in November, while Šeško continues recovering from a knee injury he picked up in the club’s 2-2 draw against Tottenham in November that should keep him out until later this month.
Bruno Fernandes, despite taking a minor knock against Palace, has been cleared to play, which is a relief for United fans who know how much the team relies on his creativity.

With European qualification still very much on the line, United absolutely need to win tomorrow. The final decision on the two mystery doubts will likely come just before kick-off, and that could shape whether Amorim goes cautious or full-on attacking at Old Trafford.
