Nottingham Forest host West Ham United at the City Ground this afternoon for the matchweek 3 fixture of the 2025-26 English Premier League, with the two clubs experiencing vastly different starts to the season.
Nottingham Forest started their season on a decent note. In their opening match, the Garibaldis defeated Brentford with ease. They then secured a draw against Crystal Palace in the very next league fixture.

While Forest’s on-field form is excellent, the match is played against a backdrop of continued uncertainty over the future of manager Nuno Espírito Santo.
Nottingham Forest have won their past three league games against West Ham. They’ve also won the past four meetings at the City Ground across all competitions.

For West Ham, the pressure on boss Graham Potter is already immense. The Hammers have made their worst start to a league season in 71 years and have lost their last three Premier League battles with Forest.
The Hammers were well beaten by newly-promoted Sunderland away from home, offering little in their 3-0 defeat. They then faced Chelsea at the London Stadium last Friday and suffered a 5-1 defeat, a rather humiliating loss.
West Ham confirmed Lineup:
Starting XI: Hermansen, Walker-Peters, Mavropanos, Kilman, Diouf, Ward-Prowse, Fernandes, Paquetá, Souček, Bowen, Füllkrug
Subs: Areola, Summerville, Wilson, Rodríguez, Todibo, Wan-Bissaka, Scarles, Potts, Irving
