Manchester City are entering the final stages of Jeremy Doku’s contract renewal, with formal steps now underway after a verbal agreement was reached in June 2026.

Softfootball understands that the Belgian winger is set to sign a new five-year deal that includes a significant salary increase, reflecting his growing importance to Pep Guardiola’s squad.

Doku joined City from Rennes in 2023 and has established himself as one of the Premier League’s most dangerous wide players thanks to his explosive pace, close control and ability to beat defenders in one-on-one situations. His performances also saw him ranked among the top five players with the most successful dribbles in 2025.

Contract details indicate that Doku’s new deal will run until June 2031, extending his stay by five years. The agreement also includes an improved salary package that reflects his increased role within the squad, although specific wage figures have not been disclosed.

Once the remaining paperwork is completed, Manchester City are expected to officially announce Doku’s extension, further strengthening the core of their squad as they continue planning for long-term domestic and European success.
