Manchester City wasted no time as they returned to training with the full squad and shared a post on their official X handle. It read:

In midweek, Bayer Leverkusen beat Manchester City 2-0 at the Etihad and it was painful for its faithfuls. So they needed to redeem themselves and the hard fought win against Leeds United was a huge relief to the Cityzen as they close the gap on league leaders Arsenal.

Guardiola lost the premier league title to Arne Slot’s Liverpool last season but this season, his former assistant, Mikel Arteta is the biggest threat to him not winning the title this season. So, he is pushing his lad as far as he can to stay in touching distance.

Manchester City are current second on the premier league table with 25 points, five points adrift Arsenal while their opponent on Tuesday, Fulham are placed 15th with 17 points after 13 matches so far this season.
