Luis Diaz has arrived in Munich as he gets set to undergo his medical today ahead of a high-profile move to Bayern. The Bundesliga champions reached an agreement with Liverpool on Sunday, settling on a €75 million (£65m) fee after returning with a revised offer that more closely matched the Reds’ valuation of the Colombian winger.
Diaz’s departure comes after months of frustration over stalled contract negotiations, with the 28-year-old feeling undervalued at Anfield. His absence during Liverpool’s 4-2 pre-season defeat to AC Milan in Asia spoke volumes, with new manager Arne Slot acknowledging the uncertainty surrounding the player’s future while praising his professionalism in training.

Softfootball reported on Monday that Diaz was given permission to leave Liverpool summer camp in Tokyo, where the team are preparing for Wednesday’s match against Yokohama F. Marinos, for Germany.
Now According to transfer journalist Florian Plettenberg, he shared a video of Luis Díaz and his family when he arrived at Munich airport in the early hours of Thursday ahead of his medicals on his X handle.
The tweet reads:
“Excl Luis Díaz now at Munich Airport!
“Medical booked for today, as reported. Signing of his contract after that”.

Bayern’s initial £58.5 million approach last week fell short, but Vincent Kompany’s determination to land his target proved decisive. The improved weekend offer triggered Liverpool’s acceptance, paving the way for Diaz to end his three-year Merseyside stint.
Slot remained coy when pressed about potential exits, deflecting questions linking Darwin Nunez’s similar absence to transfer speculation.
The 27-year-old is expected to sign a four-year contract with the Bundesliga champions within the next 24 hours. This transfer marks a major coup for Bayern, who have been pursuing Díaz as part of their summer squad rebuild.
Last season, Diaz scored 13 times in 36 league appearances as Liverpool sailed to the Premier League title 10 points clear of second placed, Arsenal. How well do you think Luis Diaz will blend with Vincent Kompany squad? …Kindly share your thoughts with us in the comment section.
