Jude Bellingham Clears the Air on Relationship With Xabi Alonso

2 Min Read

Jude Bellingham has moved swiftly to shut down growing speculation surrounding his relationship with former Real Madrid head coach Xabi Alonso, strongly dismissing reports of any internal rift between the pair, Softfootball reports.

The comments come in the wake of Xabi Alonso’s departure from Real Madrid, with the club parting ways with the Spanish coach just five months into his tenure. Alonso’s exit was confirmed yesterday, less than 24 hours after Los Blancos suffered a painful Super Cup final defeat to arch-rivals Barcelona on Sunday.

According to Fabrizio Romano via his official X handle, the England midfielder did not hold back as he addressed the rumours that surfaced following Alonso’s sudden exit from the Bernabéu.

Until now I’ve let far too many of these slide… always hoping the truth will come out to light in its own time… But honestly, let me say, what a load of sh*t, Bellingham said.

In the immediate aftermath of Alonso’s dismissal, Álvaro Arbeloa has been appointed as Real Madrid’s first-team coach for the foreseeable future, stepping up following his work within the club’s youth setup. The abrupt managerial change inevitably sparked intense speculation, with several reports suggesting dressing-room tension claims Bellingham has now firmly rejected.

Bellingham, who has been one of Madrid’s standout performers this season, appears keen to draw a line under the noise and refocus attention on football matters.

With Arbeloa now tasked with steadying the ship and restoring momentum after the Super Cup setback, Real Madrid will be hoping the dressing room remains united as they push on through the remainder of the season starting with putting the Alonso chapter firmly behind them.
