England goalkeeper Jordan Pickford has officially signed a four year contract at Everton, keeping him at the club until June 2029. The deal comes after weeks of anticipation.
Softfootball earlier reported that Pickford has already agreed to sign the contract with Everton, as all terms have been finalized by his camp. The official signing was scheduled for this week.

The club confirmed the news via its official X handle. They shared:

Since joining from Sunderland in 2017, the 31-year-old has made 326 apperances for Everton and has earned 80 England caps, recently setting a record of nine consecutive clean sheets for the national team.
Speaking via the club’s media, Pickford expressed his delight at committing his future to the club. He said:
I’m delighted, dedicated to get it done – it’s an extra two years, so four years in total. I’m over the moon and it gives me the opportunity to build a legacy for myself here, move forward and build this Club to where we want to be

Pickford has won Everton’s Player of the Season Award four times, more than any other player in the club’s history. Reflecting on his progress, he shared his optimism about the future under the new club’s ownership and management. He said:
I think the dark days are behind us and it’s about building that momentum as a team and the Club now, I think it’s the whole deal, really.
The new owners have come in and have shown they want to move us forward, the manager since he has come in has shown that, too, and us as players on the pitch. The manager wanted us to continue our form [from the end of last season] into this one and he’ll keep pushing us.
We’ve started well and we want to keep building that momentum and get Everton Football Club back to a team that competes in Europe. We know it’s tough to do but it’s a journey we want to go on and it’s hard work that we’ll put in as a club. We want to have that direction and, hopefully, one day we’ll lift some silverware as well.
Pickford concluded by emphasizing his desire to follow the footsteps of the clubs’ legend Neville Southall, as he aims to leave a lasting mark at Goodison Park for the end of his career.
