Newcastle United forward Alexander Isak has outlined the aspects of his game he is determined to improve as he continues his development into one of the Premier League’s top strikers, Softfootball reports.
The Sweden international said he regularly studies some of the world’s best forwards, taking inspiration from different players in a bid to become a more complete attacker.
Isak explained that he wants to add greater variety to his game, particularly by becoming a stronger aerial threat. While heading has not traditionally been one of his biggest strengths, he noted that he has already scored more headers this season and hopes to continue improving in that area.
The striker believes being dangerous in every attacking situation will make him even more effective and difficult for defenders to contain.
Isak’s comments came after another impressive performance for Newcastle United, where he opened the scoring in Monday’s 2-0 Premier League victory over Manchester United at Old Trafford. Joelinton added the second goal as the Magpies secured an important away win to strengthen their push for a top-four finish.
