Inter president Giuseppe Marotta has revealed that Lautaro Martínez was not interested in opening discussions with Barcelona, making any potential transfer negotiation difficult for the Catalan club.

Marotta said.
The Inter president also explained that the Italian club had no intention of entering negotiations for one of their most important players, particularly because of Lautaro’s importance to their ambitions.

he added.
Softfootball added that Marotta’s comments underline Inter’s determination to keep Lautaro as a central figure in their plans. The Argentine striker has established himself as one of the club’s most influential players and remains a key part of their attacking setup Barcelona have previously monitored Lautaro as they looked at options to strengthen their forward line, but the latest comments suggest that a move was never close to being completed.
Instead, Barcelona have turned their attention to other attacking options and have agreed a €10 million deal to sign Gabriel Jesus from Arsenal, providing Hansi Flick with additional experience and versatility in attack.
Jesus is capable of operating through the middle or from wider positions, giving Barcelona another option as they prepare for a demanding campaign.
While Lautaro remains firmly committed to Inter, Barcelona’s agreement for Jesus represents a significant development in their efforts to reinforce the squad and add more attacking depth.
