Barcelona striker, Robert Lewandowski is currently not on Inter Miami’s shortlist of new signings for the 2026 season, Softfootball reports. This information comes after recent rumours said he was moving to Inter Miami.

Lewandowski, an experienced Polish forward who plays for Barcelona and was recently praised by Hansi Flick as the best striker is focused on his current season in Spain and has not made any new decision about his future in 2026.

His contract with Barcelona doesn’t end till June 2026 and he just wants to concentrate on helping the club this season before thinking of his next plans. According to Transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano on his official X handle, he said,

As well as Timo Werner, also Robert Lewandowski is not part of Inter Miami shortlist for new signings in 2026 despite recent speculations. Lewandowski is only focused on the current season at Barcelona, ahead of deciding his future in 2026.

Despite social posts and whispers from some media outlets saying that Inter Miami has plans on signing Lewandowski after his contract expires, the update from Fabrizio Romano debunks that claim.

He also mentioned that Timo Werner isn’t part of Inter Miami’s shortlist for future signings. It had also been rumored that former Chelsea and now RB Leipzig striker, Timo Werner is likely moving to Inter Miami in recent months but the statement from Romano has made it clear that there’s no confirmed interest from the club.

This clarification helps clear up the misconception that the MLS club was targeting experienced European forwards as part of their long-term plans.
