Softfootball wishes all football fans, lovers of the game, analysts, and the general public a happy new month as we welcome March 2026.
March, the third month of the year, arrives after an action-packed start to 2026. Between 1 January and the end of February, the football world witnessed significant managerial shake-ups across Europe.

The January window was not only busy for players but brutal for managers. Between January 1 and February 11, several high-profile coaches were either sacked or left their roles amid mounting pressure and internal challenges.
- At Chelsea, Enzo Maresca was dismissed on January 1, 2026, after 18 months in charge, despite earlier success including winning the UEFA Conference League and FIFA Club World Cup.
- Rúben Amorim was sacked by Manchester United on January 5, 2026, following a fiery press conference after a draw with Leeds United.
- After returning to Real Madrid in June 2025, Xabi Alonso departed by mutual consent seven months later.
- In Germany, Ole Werner was sacked by SV Werder Bremen on 1 February 2026. Meanwhile, Habib Beye left Stade Rennais F.C. on February 9.
- At Olympique de Marseille, Roberto De Zerbi departed by mutual agreement on February 11,
- While Thomas Frank was sacked by Tottenham Hotspur after a 2-1 home defeat to Newcastle United F.C. left Spurs 16th in the Premier League table.
Beyond managerial changes, Softfootball also recorded major milestones. In February 2026, we entered a strategic advertising partnership with Dochase Adx, finalised on Friday, 6 February, covering the monetisation period from 1 February 2026 to 31 January 2027.
Additionally, Softfootball achieved recognition as a preferred source on Google. As of 2 February 2026, users can select Softfootball as a trusted news source, ensuring our stories appear more frequently in Top Stories and the “From your sources” section.
