Anthony Gordon believes Newcastle United teammate Alexander Isak is currently the best striker in Europe following another outstanding display in the Magpies’ 2-0 Carabao Cup semi-final first-leg win over Arsenal.
Softfootball analyzed Isak’s recent form, with the Swedish international scoring 14 goals in his last 15 appearances across all competitions to continue his remarkable scoring streak.

Introducing his praise, Gordon told BBC Radio 5 Live that Isak’s quality extends beyond his goals. He said:
Very good. He is the best in Europe, probably right now, with the form he’s in. The best quality he’s got is that he’s so humble.
Gordon also praised Isak’s selfless style of play, highlighting his willingness to create chances for teammates despite his goalscoring exploits.
The England winger was also on the scoresheet after converting the rebound from Isak’s saved effort, giving Newcastle a commanding advantage ahead of the second leg at St. James’ Park.
