Girona manager Michel has vowed to lead his side to victory when they face Arsenal in their final UEFA Champions League group-stage fixture.
The Spanish club have already been eliminated from the competition, but Michel insists they have plenty to play for when they welcome the Gunners.
The Girona boss believes securing a win is important for the club, their supporters and Spanish football, while also stressing the need to end their maiden Champions League campaign on a positive note.
Speaking ahead of the encounter, Michel said his team must produce a strong performance and protect their reputation after an impressive domestic campaign last season. He said:
There are many objectives to achieve tomorrow. The main one is that it is a Champions League match in front of our fans and we want to win after three consecutive defeats
The image is important and we want to maintain our prestige. We deserve to be in this competition because of our great last year and we must not forget that.
In addition, a fifth place for a Spanish team in the tournament is still alive and we must fight for it. We have to win for the competition and our fans.
Michel’s men will be hoping to end their historic Champions League campaign with a memorable result against an Arsenal side looking to strengthen their position in the competition.
