Gianluigi Donnarumma is attracting interest from a host of Premier League clubs, with his Paris Saint-Germain contract coming to an end soon. Softfootball can confirm that Donnarmma’s contract with PSG is set to expire in 2026.

Donnarumma joined PSG from AC Milan in 2021 for free on a 5-year deal after his Euros 2020 heroics with Italy that saw the country win its first Euros in 15 years.

According to a report L’Equipe, Chelsea, Manchester United and Manchester City are all tracking the Italian shot-stopper. Questions over Donnarumma’s future are inevitable, given his contract situation.

However, another report from France suggests Donnarumma wants to stay in Paris, and is expected to make a concrete decision over his future after the Club World Cup final. The Parisians will take on one of Donnarumma’s suitors, Chelsea, in New Jersey for the finals of the FIFA Club World Cup on Sunday night.

The 26-year-old has enjoyed immense success in the French capital having made 160 appearances for the club, winning the league title in each of his four seasons, and lifting the historic UEFA Champions League trophy earlier this year for the club.

Donnarumma started his football journey in his native town club Castellammare di Stabia, which he joined in 2003. In 2013, at the age of 14, he was signed for €250,000 by AC Milan. He made his first senior appearance for Milan on 25 October against Sassuolo at age 16 helping Milan end their three match consecutive loss with a 2-1 win.

The goalkeeper had been in the news of recent after his collision with Jamal Musiala in their FIFA Club World Cup quarterfinals clash saw the German horrifically get injured and be ruled out for 6 months.

Although, Musiala has come out to defend Donnarumma that he is not to blame for his injury as reported by Softfootball. Musiala has urged fans not to blame anyone for the horrific injury he sustained during the club’s quarter-final loss to PSG, stating that such incidents are part of football and can happen to anyone.

The 22-year-old German international was stretchered off the pitch following a nasty collision with PSG goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma. He was immediately flown to Munich, where he underwent successful surgery and will now begin a long recovery process.
