Garnacho Rules Out Besiktas Move, Keen on Staying in the Premier League

Softfootball can confirm that Manchester United’s Alejandro Garnacho has no intention of joining Turkish giants Besiktas, despite recent media reports suggesting otherwise. The Argentine winger is determined to continue his career in the Premier League, where he believes he still has a point to prove.

At just 20, Garnacho remains one of Manchester United’s most promising attacking prospects, but sources close to the player say he has become increasingly frustrated by a lack of consistent game time at Old Trafford.

While he’s not pushing for a move just yet, his camp is reportedly open to offers as long as they come from Premier League clubs.

It was earlier reported that Chelsea are among the sides monitoring his situation closely. Although no formal approach has been made, the Blues are understood to be considering a move if United signal willingness to sell.

The Red Devils, for their part, are reluctant to lose him but would also prefer not to strengthen a direct rival, a dilemma that could shape how this transfer story unfolds.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano took to social media to shut down the Besiktas rumours. On his official X account, he wrote:

“Reports on Alejandro Garnacho and Besiktas are completely wide of the mark. No chance. He wants to stay in Premier League.”

Meanwhile, there’s a growing sense that Garnacho is ready for a fresh start. According to reports, the youngster has been alienated within the squad and is eager to move somewhere he’ll be trusted to play regularly.

Technically gifted and capable of playing on either flank, Garnacho has drawn praise across Europe for his flair and attacking instinct. If given the right environment, he could blossom into a top-tier player which is exactly why United might regret letting him go too soon. Whatever happens, it’s clear he’s not heading to Turkey.
