Galatasaray are in active talks with Real Betis over a potential deal for midfielder Sergi Altimira. Softfootball understands that negotiations are ongoing, but discussions have proven difficult and challenging due to Betis’ firm stance on the player. This was confirmed on the official x handle of transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
He stated that:
Galatasaray are in talks with Real Betis to sign Sergi Altimira. Negotiations ongoing, not easy as Real Betis turned down already three bids in January for the midfielder.
Real Betis are believed to highly value Altimira and had already turned down three separate bids from Galatasaray earlier in January. The Turkish champions remain keen on strengthening their midfield options and continue to push for an agreement, although no breakthrough has been reached at this stage.

Softfootball in previous news has reported that, Sofyan Amrabat once mentioned he was genuinely enjoying life at Real Betis and the team also went ahead to extend Isco’s contract till 2028. This serves as a confirmation that Real Betis values her players.
