Ferdinand urges United to sign Osimhen

Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand has urged the club to make a decisive move for Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen before the January transfer window closes.

Ferdinand’s plea comes amid concerns over the current form of Manchester United’s attacking options, with Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee struggling to deliver consistent goals.

Speaking on his YouTube channel, the former England international highlighted the need for a proven striker like Osimhen to lead the line for the Red Devils.

“I’ve watched Hojlund closely the last two games… it just doesn’t add up,” Ferdinand said. “I’d go all out for Osimhen now if we can do it financially.

Get him on loan now! He guarantees goals, knows how to get on the end of chances, and has proven himself at the top level.”

Ferdinand also pointed out the lack of mentorship for Hojlund, who joined United for £70m. “He’s young and still learning, but he has no experienced striker to guide him.

He’s looking at Zirkzee, who is in a similar position. They both need someone to show them what it takes to be Manchester United’s No. 9.”

Victor Osimhen, who has been prolific for Napoli in Serie A and the Champions League, could provide the goal-scoring edge Manchester United desperately needs as they aim to salvage their season.
