Far From Ideal! , Slot Sends Brutal Message as Salah Storm Continues to Rocks Liverpool

3 Min Read

The already-tense situation between Mohamed Salah and Liverpool has escalated further, with manager Arne Slot openly addressing the fallout from the Egyptian’s explosive post-match comments after the 3-3 draw against Leeds. Salah, who has been benched for Liverpool’s last three matches, expressed frustration over his recent treatment and uncertainty about his future, comments that shocked supporters and sent shockwaves through the football world.

Softfootball can confirm that Salah has now been left out of the squad entirely for Liverpool’s crucial Champions League clash against Inter Milan later today. The forward did not travel with the team as Liverpool continues to deal with the internal repercussions of his remarks.

According to Fabrizio Romano via his official X handle, Speaking to Prime Video Sport, Slot delivered a blunt assessment of the entire situation:

The situation with Salah is from far ideal. Not good for anyone. Not for the club, not for the team, not for him as well. So far from ideal. We reacted in the way we did and not to take him here. That’s why we felt about his comments.

In another comment shared via Fabrizio Romano official X handle, the Liverpool manager was even more direct, stressing the club’s need to respond firmly:

Everybody can have his opinion… but it’s also up to us to react to them if a player uses words, and in the case of Mo Salah we can NOT accept.

Salah’s omission for the Inter match marks the latest dramatic twist in a saga that has spiraled into full-blown crisis mode. His run of three consecutive games on the bench had already sparked widespread questions, criticism, and outrage among supporters a situation that ultimately prompted Salah to speak out publicly about feeling undervalued and unsure about his future at Anfield.

With tensions at an all-time high, all eyes now turn to Liverpool’s next move. Whether this is the beginning of the end or a temporary storm remains to be seen, but what’s certain is that the Salah saga has become one of the biggest stories of the season.
