Ekitike joins in Liverpool training all smiles in day 1 of 6 years

After unveiling their new striker, Hugo Ektitike whom they got from Frankfurt for €95 million, the Reds have now shown the tall striker’s first day with the club as he joins the training this morning.

Softfootball can confirm that the French striker signed a 6 year contract with the Reds after just a year with Eintracht Frankfurt. Ekitike who stands at 6ft3 tall scored 15 goals for the German side last season in 33 matches.

Liverpool had a big loss in the squad after the sudden tragic death of Diogo Jota but are quick to find a new attacker to fill in the spot left by the late Portuguese.

Liverpool posted on their verified X handle how Ekitike walked into the training center of the club this morning in Hong Kong.

Despite adding a new striker to their squad, the Premier League defending champions still want to offload Darwin Nunez who is deemed surplus to requirement by the club. There are also possibilities that winger, Luis Diaz will leave the club this summer.

The Reds have rejected a few offers from Bayern Munich for Diaz whom they reportedly value at over a €90 million while they are said to only want to listen to offers beginning from €70 million for Nunez.

Hugo’s first day at the club will be the highlight of today as the club continue to prepare for a preseason game against Italian side, AC Milan in Hong Kong. Slot’s team have played a few preseason games already which they have shown goal scoring qualities.

Ekitike will join old Liverpool players and the recently bought players like Jeremie Frimpong, Milos Kerkez, Giorgi Mamardashvili, and Florian Wirtz in training.
