Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne has dismissed speculation surrounding his future at the club, insisting the timing simply isn’t right for him to consider a departure.

The Belgian’s current contract expires at the end of the season, fuelling ongoing transfer talk given his advancing age and City’s uncertain form this campaign.

Softfootball can confirm De Bruyne addressed the rumours directly in an interview with Sky Sports. He said:

There is no big news, but I read and hear a lot. It’s as if someone knows more than me, maybe I need to talk to someone! But it hasn’t happened yet, the right time hasn’t come.

De Bruyne also reflected on his recent injury struggles, explaining how they’ve shaped his current outlook on his career. He added:

Last year I had a serious injury, I was out for six months, and it took me some time to recover. But then another problem happened, the situation didn’t get better. However, I feel I can still make a difference.
