Samuel Chukwueze enjoyed a dream comeback from injury after scoring the decisive goal in AC Milan’s thrilling 3-2 victory over Parma in Sunday’s Serie A encounter.

The Nigerian winger had been sidelined since suffering a hamstring injury against Roma in late December but returned to the squad as a substitute. Softfootball understands Chukwueze wasted little time making his presence felt, coming off the bench in the 57th minute before netting the winning goal deep into stoppage time to complete Milan’s remarkable comeback.

Parma opened the scoring through Matteo Cancellieri before Christian Pulisic equalised from the penalty spot. Enrico Del Prato restored the visitors’ advantage with 10 minutes remaining, but Tijjani Reijnders levelled the score in the 92nd minute.

Moments later, Chukwueze produced the decisive finish in the 95th minute to send the San Siro into celebration.

The goal was the Nigerian international’s second in 18 Serie A appearances this season and helped Milan climb to sixth place in the league standings as they continue their push for European qualification.
