Chelsea produced a dominant attacking performance to defeat Bournemouth, with Jordan Henderson and João Pedro leading the charge in a thrilling encounter.
Henderson opened the scoring after just two minutes, finding the net with a powerful right-footed strike from outside the penalty area following Cole Palmer’s assist. Morgan Rogers doubled Chelsea’s advantage in the third minute, with his effort taking a deflection before VAR confirmed the goal.
Bournemouth struggled to contain Chelsea’s attacking pressure but found a way back into the contest shortly after the break. Evanilson capitalised on a defensive mistake by Moisés Caicedo to score in the 51st minute, giving the visitors renewed hope.
However, João Pedro restored Chelsea’s control almost immediately. The forward finished with his right foot in the 46th minute, assisted by Pedro Neto, before adding another goal in the 67th minute following Morgan Rogers’ key pass and Pep Chavarría’s assist.
Henderson then delivered another moment of brilliance in the 70th minute, curling a direct free-kick into the net to cap an outstanding individual display.
Bournemouth attempted to fight back during the closing stages, but Chelsea’s defence held firm despite late pressure. Emiliano Martínez made important interventions, while Henderson helped protect the advantage.

The result highlighted Chelsea’s attacking quality, with Henderson earning Man of the Match honours after scoring twice and controlling the midfield.
The performance also provides a contrast to Arsenal’s dramatic 2-1 comeback victory over Chelsea, in which Martin Ødegaard completed the turnaround. That Arsenal result remains a separate match and is not reflected in the Bournemouth statistics below.
