Many Chelsea fans have begun expressing a lack of confidence in Rosenior, arguing that results and performances have worsened since the managerial change.

Softfootball observed tactical concerns in recent matches. In the 1:1 draw against Burnley on Saturday, 21 February in week 27 of the Premier League, Rosenior deployed a stiff midfield of Enzo Fernández, Reece James and Moisés Caicedo. This setup is usually reserved for matches against stronger opponents, and its use against Burnley appeared to limit Chelsea’s attacking fluidity.

Similar issues were seen in the Chelsea 1:0 loss to Newcastle. Despite Newcastle missing key players, including Bruno Guimarães, and Joelinton only appearing from the bench, Rosenior again relied on a rigid midfield approach that failed to produce results.

Liam Delap and Alejandro Garnacho have struggled to deliver consistent impact. Garnacho has shown flashes of quality but often performs better as an impact substitute rather than a regular starter.

Meanwhile, Delap has yet to provide decisive contributions from the bench for Chelsea. In contrast, players such as Benjamin Šeško at Manchester United have repeatedly come on as substitutes and scored important goals for their teams. Other Chelsea players, including Pedro Neto and Malo Gusto, have contributed positively, but the overall attacking output remains a concern for the team.
