Chaos at Goodison Park as Arne Slot Sees Red

Arne Slot’s night ended in controversy as the Liverpool manager was shown a red card following his team’s dramatic 2-2 draw with Everton at Goodison Park.

Liverpool seemed poised to extend their Premier League lead to nine points when Mohamed Salah put them ahead with 17 minutes left.

However, Everton’s James Tarkowski struck in the eighth minute of stoppage time to secure a crucial point in their final Merseyside derby before moving to a new stadium.

The full-time whistle sparked chaos as Everton’s Abdoulaye Doucoure taunted Liverpool fans, triggering a brawl between both teams. Curtis Jones and Doucoure were both sent off, with police and stewards stepping in to restore order.

Slot was also dismissed after an aggressive handshake with referee Michael Oliver, who immediately reached for his red card. Assistant coach Sipke Hulshoff was ejected as well.

Slot, now suspended for Liverpool’s upcoming clash with Wolves, was barred from post-match media duties.

Meanwhile, Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk criticized Oliver’s officiating, suggesting he had lost control of the match.

Despite the drama, Liverpool remain seven points clear of Arsenal at the top of the Premier League.
