Carrick, Dyche, Iraola & Rosenior shortlisted for January Manager of the Month

The Premier League have officially announced the nominees for the January 2026 Barclays Manager of the Month award, with four managers shortlisted for the honour after impressive performances during the month, Softfootball reports.

Fans have been invited to vote, with the final decision to be determined by a combination of supporters’ votes and a panel of football experts. Voting remains open until 12:00 GMT on Monday, 9 February, with the winner set to be revealed next week.

The four nominees as shared via premier league official X handle are:

Michael Carrick (Manchester United), Sean Dyche, Andoni Iraola (Bournemouth) and Liam Rosenior (Chelsea).

Carrick may have only overseen two league matches in January after stepping in for Ruben Amorim, but his influence was immediate and dramatic.

The former United midfielder announced himself with a superb 2-0 derby triumph over Manchester City, before guiding his side to an electrifying 3-2 victory away at Arsenal, a result that ended the Gunners’ unbeaten home run in the league. In a very short time, Carrick has steadied the team and injected new belief into United’s performances.

Rosenior, meanwhile, has made a powerful early statement at Chelsea since taking charge at the start of the month. The English coach wrote his name into the record books by becoming only the fourth English manager to win his opening three Premier League games, leading the Blues past Brentford, Crystal Palace and West Ham.
